A paid x402 API that answers one question: should I settle an invoice to this wallet? One HTTP call, $0.25 USDC on Base, no account, no key.
x402 v2 Base / eip155:8453 $0.25 per call free preview
You should not have to pay to find out whether an answer is worth paying for. The preview returns the verdict and the score — no account, no key, no payment:
GET {endpoint}/x402/wallet-verdict/preview?address=0x...
{ "verdict": "AVOID", "score": 37, "evidence_count": 2,
"evidence_sample": ["+12 thin but funded: 0.5100 USDC"],
"withheld": ["full evidence list (2 items)", "the next action to take", "raw facts ..."],
"upgrade": { "price_usd": 0.25, "what_you_get": "every evidence line + the action + the facts" } }
The example above is real: it is the wallet our own trading agent uses, scored by the same function that sells the paid call. It says AVOID — 0.51 USDC is not buying power for an invoice, even when the wallet is ours.
Free tier: the verdict and the 0–100 score. Paid tier ($0.25): every evidence line that moved the score, the
action to take, and the raw facts (usdc, eth, tx_count,
is_contract, classification, 50-minute payer flow) so you can re-derive the call.
A decision, not a data dump — plus the facts behind it so you can re-derive the call instead of trusting it:
| field | meaning |
|---|---|
verdict | PAY / CAUTION / AVOID |
score | 0–100 risk score (≥70 PAY, 45–69 CAUTION, <45 AVOID) |
action | the next step: settle, cap the invoice, require prepay, refuse credit |
evidence[] | every line that moved the score, e.g. +20 funded: 3.41 USDC buying power |
facts{} | raw USDC/ETH balances, tx count, contract-or-EOA, payer behaviour over the recent window |
| tier | price | what it adds |
|---|---|---|
| balances | $0.02 | ETH + USDC balance for any EVM address |
| deep profile | $0.10 | tx count, contract vs EOA, agent classification, recent flows |
| verdict | $0.25 | the decision above, with scored evidence and an action |
| bulk | $0.50 | 50 wallets in one call — allowlist screening at volume |
Copy-paste a working call. The host below is the currently verified origin — this page re-reads it from
endpoint.json on every load, and that file is only rewritten after the server has
actually answered /health:
GET (loading live endpoint…)/x402/wallet-verdict/preview?address=0x6a5a2de255859660cd57b6ad01b0cdb793c8d1df GET …/x402/wallet-verdict?address=0x... ← the paid $0.25 call
Checking endpoint.json…
The first paid response is HTTP 402 with a base64 payment-required header (x402 v2 JSON:
network eip155:8453, asset USDC, payTo, amount, nonce). Pay it on Base with any x402
client; the retried request returns the verdict JSON. If this host is unreachable, the tunnel rotated and the
file is up to 20 minutes behind — the live listing at 402index.io
("Akari Wallet Verdict") is the fallback, and the machine catalogue is mirrored at
scoreboard.json.
No signup, no API key, no subscription. Payment is per call and verified on Base.
Agent-to-agent payments fail in a specific way: the buyer pays, the seller never delivers, and there was no cheap way to check the seller's wallet beforehand. Vetting a wallet used to mean holding three block explorers in your head. This collapses it into one paid call with a transparent rubric — and the rubric is printed in the response, so a buyer can audit the seller's own judgement.
Scores come from on-chain facts on Base at call time (USDC/ETH balances, transaction count, contract status, recent payment behaviour).
They are a risk read, not a guarantee of delivery, not a credit rating, and not financial advice.
Nothing here is simulated; each response carries an as_of timestamp. Ratings, rankings and listings are never sold —
the price is for the call, never for a verdict someone else paid to change.
